Greater Shepparton City Council wishes to advise of changing traffic conditions as works continue in the roundabout of Andrew Fairley Avenue / Lockwood Road / Old Dookie Road and the SPC entrance in Shepparton.
The works include upgrading the current roundabout to a fully signalised intersection that allows full truck turning movements in each direction and increases safety for all users, in particular regular pedestrian traffic.
The roundabout will be closed to all traffic from Wednesday 2 August to Friday 11 August 2023.
As the works encroach on other areas of the intersection, traffic control will be utilised to maintain the flow of traffic.
Access into the adjacent homes and businesses will be maintained for the duration of works, however motorists are advised to expect delays and detours will be in place.
To ensure the safety of all working and travelling near the site, Council ask for all pedestrians to please avoid the area if possible. For all those that wish to access SPC or another local business from the car parks, please follow any signage or traffic control personal.
The intersection will be under strict traffic management throughout the duration of works and Council reminds residents to obey all traffic management direction and signage.
