Greater Shepparton City Council wishes to advise that asphalt resurfacing works will commence next week along the Broken River Shared Path.
The first stage of the resurfacing works will commence on Tuesday 23 November and is anticipated to be complete by Wednesday 1 December 2021. Stage One works will begin at the crossing next to Palmer Road and finish at the first timber pedestrian bridge (opposite Murray Street).
The path will be closed for the duration of the works and path users are requested to obey pedestrian management and path closure signage during this time. Access to the Broken River pedestrian bridge will remain open.
Stage Two of the resurfacing works will commence late January 2022 and will continue to Wyndham Street Road Bridge.
The resurfacing works will improve accessibility for pedestrians and cyclists as well as enhance access to the river and native bushland.
For further information about the works contact Council’s Projects Department on 5832 9700 or email projects@shepparton.vic.gov.au
