Greater Shepparton City Council is inviting local retail businesses to join a new initiative that will showcase Black Friday offers on a special web page.
In Summary
Greater Shepparton City Council is launching a dedicated Black Friday web page, showcasing local retail offers to help residents easily find and support local deals.
This initiative allows local businesses to reach a broader audience and promote exclusive Black Friday offers, with a range of deals available in categories such as fashion, homewares, and gifts.
The campaign encourages residents to shop locally, highlighting the benefits of supporting the local economy, creating jobs, and avoiding delivery delays.
Local retailers can submit their Black Friday promotions via the Council’s website until 11.59pm on Monday 11 November 2024, with the Black Friday page live from Friday 15 November 2024.
Launching just in time for the shopping rush, the web page will help residents find exclusive deals and plan their shopping, while supporting businesses across the region.
This opportunity will provide retailers the chance to reach a wider audience, with deals available for a limited time. Whether it is fashion, homewares or gifts, shoppers will find a variety of offers, making it easier than ever to save time and money.
Council’s Place Manager, Bonnie McIntosh, said she was excited about how the web page will simplify the shopping experience for locals.
“This year we are simplifying the process of finding Black Friday deals by bringing together the best offers from local retailers in one convenient place. This approach makes it easier for savvy shoppers to support businesses in our region while discovering and taking advantage of great local deals,” she said.
The web page will be supported by a campaign that aims to maximise the benefit for local businesses and attract residents and visitors to shop in our region.
Council’s Manager Economic Development, Anthony Nicolaci, emphasised the importance of supporting local businesses this Black Friday.
“We encourage everyone to think local first. By choosing to shop at our local businesses, you are not just supporting the economy, but also eliminating the wait time for deliveries. Every purchase helps create jobs and strengthens our community,” he said.
Retailers in Greater Shepparton can submit their promotions for the upcoming Black Friday event by visiting shepp.city/blackfridayapply. Submissions close at 11.59pm on Monday 11 November 2024. The web page will be available to access from Friday 15 November 2024 via shepp.city/blackfriday.
Shop real, shop local and enjoy the benefits of staying close to home while making a real difference in the community.
