Making its debut into the major events calendar in 2019, Greater Shepparton City Council is excited to bring back Goulburn Vibes.
The outdoor live music event unfortunately could not go ahead last year due to Covid-19 restrictions, however Council is pleased to be able to deliver the event this year in a Covid safe manner.
Locals and visitors will still be able to enjoy a session of local performers in the intimate setting of the rustic bushlands of Western Park, behind Victoria Park Lake this Easter weekend, Saturday 3 April.
Following on from the success of 2019, Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor Councillor Kim O’Keeffe said this year would be showcasing the best of the region to visitors.
“The first ever Goulburn Vibes was a celebration of everything local, there were talented local performers, great local vendors and our beautiful environment by the lake and the river,” Cr O’Keeffe said.
“This year we hope the many visitors to our region over the Easter long weekend will have the opportunity to see a side of Greater Shepparton they have not experienced before. The local arts and culture, great food and beautiful scenery.”
The inaugural performance saw local artists Jessica Lorraine, Tenielle McKenzie and band and Tim Smith take to the stage. Another addition was Charlie McCosh who later in the year performed as the pick of the crop winner for Land of Plenty music festival.
This year’s performers promise to be equally talented with the Deans of Soul, Madi Colville Walker and Rob Walker duo Gaka Wowa and Bodhi Hawken taking to the stage.
The event is free and will feature local food vendors and a licensed bar area by local suppliers Shepparton Brewery and Chowtown. Attendees will need to bring a chair or picnic rug.
Covid-19 safe requirements will be adhered to at the event, capacity limitations will apply and attendees will need to check in via QR code on arrival, keep 1.5m distancing throughout the evening and must not attend if feeling unwell.
