Greater Shepparton City Council is pleased to announce the successful recipients of the 2024/2025 Heritage Conservation Grants. These grants, totalling $79,863.60, will support important restoration and conservation works for heritage-listed properties across the region.
In Summary
This year’s funding has been allocated to nine properties, with projects ranging from roof repairs to facade restorations. These works not only help preserve the unique character of Greater Shepparton’s built heritage but also helps to support local trades.
The recipients for 2024/2025 are:
Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali, highlighted the significance of the program for future generations to appreciate.
“Our heritage sites are an essential part of Greater Shepparton’s identity, connecting us to our history and shaping our community’s character,” he said.
“It is fantastic to see so many successful applicants this year undertaking vital conservation projects. These efforts ensure that our region’s cultural heritage is preserved for future generations to appreciate and enjoy."
The Heritage Conservation Grants program highlights Council’s commitment to preserving the region’s rich history and cultural heritage. By supporting property owners with these conservation efforts, Greater Shepparton ensures these historically significant structures remain vibrant and functional for years to come.
Applications for the 2025/2026 Heritage Conservation Grants will open next year.
