Council is aware of a recent product recall involving kinetic sand, due to potential asbestos contamination.
If you or your organisation have purchased this product and need to dispose of it safely, domestic quantities can be taken to Cosgrove Landfill, where a designated asbestos disposal bin is available.
Please do not place these materials in your kerbside bins.
You must register your booking to dispose of the material at the Cosgrove Landfill Asbestos Disposal Point. Items must be double-wrapped in accordance with safe disposal guidelines.
For further information or assistance with making a booking, contact our Resource Recovery Team on (03) 5832 9700 or email council@shepparton.vic.gov.au.
