The festival, scheduled for Monday 13 May to Friday 24 May 2024, aims to empower businesses across Greater Shepparton through a number of workshops, networking opportunities, and resources to inspire innovation and drive growth for our local businesses.
Building upon the success of the Greater Shepparton Business Festival and driven by feedback from our local business community, the festival has been revitalised and rebranded as ‘Business Big Ideas Festival’.
The Victorian and Australian Governments have generously provided funding for this event partnership following the October 2022 flood event. With a focus on reconnecting businesses post-COVID and equipping them with the tools for success in a rapidly evolving business landscape, this event is set to become a beacon of support for Greater Shepparton entrepreneurs.
Council’s Manager Economic Development, Anthony Nicolaci, said he was excited at the prospect of the event supporting our local business community.
“We are thrilled to present the Business Big Ideas Festival, providing a dynamic platform for businesses to learn, connect, and grow. This event underscores our commitment to fostering economic development and resilience within Greater Shepparton,” he said.
More than 16 workshops will be held in 12 venues across Greater Shepparton, catering to small businesses, established businesses, new businesses and sole traders. Members of Greater Shepparton’s vibrant business community are invited to participate and benefit from this transformative event.
Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali, encouraged local businesses and those looking to learn new skills to register their interest now.
“The festival embodies our commitment to supporting and nurturing local businesses, while empowering them to thrive and innovate. I encourage everyone in our local business community to get involved in these fantastic workshops,” he said.
