Greater Shepparton City Council’s Resilience in Recovery program is proud to be hosting Warren Davies: The Unbreakable Farmer, who will be sharing his remarkable journey of resilience and determination in the region this week.
Mr Davies will be in Undera today, Monday 23 October, Murchison on Tuesday 24 October and Tallygaroopna on Wednesday 25 October.
Known as “The Unbreakable Farmer”, Mr Davies is bringing his captivating talk to local audiences, with residents offered an insight into the extraordinary farmer who overcame incredible odds and emerged stronger than ever.
The free event is open to everyone and each session will include a free barbecue dinner for attendees.
Council’s Manager Flood Recovery, Carla Dixon, encouraged residents to attend one of the three sessions across the region, saying attendees will leave feeling motivated and uplifted.
“Warren Davies is one of Australia’s leading rural mental health speakers and advocates. His presentations are authentic and inspiring and they provide people with strategies they can take home and implement in their day to day lives to overcome challenges and keep them moving forward,” she said.
“We are extremely excited to welcome Warren to the Greater Shepparton region and we hope he can offer some great insight and support to farmers and community members doing it tough following the October 2022 flood event.
“His presentation will cover topics including resilience, persistence, determination, mental health and wellbeing, and community recovery. It is one not to be missed.”
