Greater Shepparton City Council encourages community members and businesses to take advantage of the regional Goulburn Murray Solar Savers program, which offers quality and affordable renewables and energy-efficient options.
In partnership with neighbouring Councils, including Alpine, Indigo, Mitchell, Murrindindi, and Strathbogie, this initiative ensures access to safe products from trusted and local suppliers. Available products include:
All installers and products are thoroughly vetted through a rigorous tender and assessment process. The program also provides clear information on available rebates and conducts random audits to ensure safety and service standards are upheld.
Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali, said it’s a great opportunity for residents and businesses to make informed decisions.
Council’s Manager Environment, Sharon Terry, said the program is a valuable opportunity for the community to upgrade to energy-efficient technologies.
“The Goulburn Murray Solar Savers program offers reliable information on quality products, trusted suppliers, and available rebates. We believe this will assist more residents and businesses to transition to cost-effective, energy-saving solutions.”
Goulburn Murray Climate Alliance Executive Officer, Carole Hammond, explained that the program builds on the success of the metropolitan Solar Savers initiative.
