Aquamoves Centre Manager, Liliana Angeles said the event continues to demonstrate the strong community spirit that exists across the region.
“The 100 Lap Challenge is a wonderful example of our community coming together to support important local services like Tatura Hospital and Parkvilla,” she said.
“It is great to see swimmers of all ages getting involved at the Tatura Swimming Pool and supporting such a meaningful cause.”
Volunteers supported the event with morning tea and coffee for swimmers and supporters, while participants were presented with certificates from the hospital and vouchers from Tatura Hot Bread.
Tatura local and event volunteer Gary Whyte said the turnout and enthusiasm from participants and supporters was inspiring.
“It is fantastic to see the community come together each year to support Tatura Hospital and Parkvilla,” he said.
“The 100 Lap Challenge continues to show how much people care about these important local services and the role they play in the Tatura community.”
The Tatura Hospital and Parkvilla Community Reference Group thanked the event organisers, volunteers, sponsors and supporters who helped make the day another successful and enjoyable fundraiser.
